Strategic Plan, Re-brand, Website Design
The Client
Awards4U is a company that provides personalized recognition and promotional products. They are committed to capturing the most memorable moments for the Tallahassee community and have been providing awards and engravings since 1977. In 1987, Sam Varn acquired the company, and has helped Awards4U grow to become one of the premier awards, recognition and promotional product companies in the nation. Onyx worked with Awards4U to develop a strategic plan, new brand and website.
The Challenge
Awards4U had already established a reputation in the Tallahassee community. However, they wanted to take their brand to the next level to make an impact in their marketplace while potentially expanding to new areas. The goal was to rethink the Awards4U brand to give it a fresh look while still maintaining the feeling that the company had already established. The Onyx staff worked hard to fuse strategy and creativity to create a unique brand that gives Awards4U a sleek new design to help spread awareness for the expertise and diverse product line.
The Plan
The strategic planning team researched the internal and external avenues of Awards4U to develop tactics for invigorating and growing the business. Through staff, client and market research, Onyx developed a plan that is helping Awards4U develop new internal processes, energize the corporate culture and reach new audiences.
Design
The colors: Our graphic design team chose a dynamic and exciting color scheme. The pink compliments the three brand colors of green, blue and black and shows the diversity that Awards4U can offer.
The image: The new logo is a simple image of the number 4. It signifies the idea that Awards4U is a company that works 4U.
The Results
The new Awards4U brand and website launched on April 1, 2011. So far it has been very well received. The launch of the strategic plan and new look has inspired the Awards4U employees to change the culture of their organization, so their brand message truly resonates from the inside out. They are well on their way to becoming a company where recognizing excellence is a top priority. The employees are ready to engage the community and capture the most important moments in people’s lives, in hopes that everyone is encouraged to reach their full potential.
