The Client

Citilabs is a software development firm specializing in the design, development, marketing and support of products for transportation planning. Citilabs supports over 2,500 cities in over 70 countries across six continents. They are experts in the modeling and simulation of travel and in the optimization of software within complex IT environments. Citilabs also offers professional services such as consulting and training in several disciplines. Onyx worked with Citilabs to develop a strategic plan, brand refinement, marketing materials and a new website. 

The Challenge

Citilabs had already established a reputation in their industry. However, they wanted to redefine the look and feel of the company to make an impact in their marketplace while potentially expanding to new areas. Onyx rethought Citilabs' strategy, marketing materials and website to develop a fresh new look while maintaining the traction that the company had already established. The goal was to stay consistent across all Citilabs sales channels while creating a more approachable atmosphere for potential customers and current users.

The Plan

The strategic planning team researched the internal and external avenues of Citilabs to develop tactics for invigorating and growing the business. Through staff, client and market research, Onyx developed a plan to help Citilabs establish new internal processes, energize the corporate culture and reach new audiences. With this new plan, users will be able to provide Citilabs with the valuable feedback that they need to foster innovation.

The Design

Our creative team chose a dynamic and exciting color scheme for the website. Electric blue and chartreuse complement the brand's white foundation. These bright colors show that Citilabs offers a fresh perspective for their products and enables them to stand out among the competition. The images featured on the new website are fast-paced and modern, matching Citilabs' industry and product line.

The Development

Onyx completely revamped the online purchasing process. Users can automatically sign up for an account, purchase a product and receive a license in one simple step. Onyx also developed a single sign-on system allowing Citilabs users to sign into the “cloud service”, login to the website and use the Community Support Forum all at once.

The Results

The refined brand and revamped website have been very well received. With a new perspective on strategy, Citilabs employees and sales staff are inspired to create the best experience for their customers and for their company. They are well on their way to achieving their goals.
